Re-telling the story along learning with the Ministry of Public Health through the “World Antimicrobial Awareness Week”, since mid of November, encouraged by World Health Organization. The campaign ‘aims to increase awareness of global antimicrobial resistance and to encourage best practices among the general public, health workers and policy makers to avoid the further emergence and spread of drug-resistant infections’. The drug-resistance crisis took lives of more than 700,000 people annually, nearly 40,000 deaths per year in Thailand alone (statistics of only those officially recorded!).
Thank you for such a positive attempt to increase knowledge sharing and awareness on this common health risk for medical & health professionals as well as general populations. [The 4th year already with such campaign in Thailand, while WHO has been motivating such awareness for more than 10 years in several countries around the globe.]
